Last date of nios assignment submission 2026

For the October/November 2026 NIOS examinations, the last date to submit Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs) without a late fee is July 31, 2026. You can upload and submit your completed assignments through your personalized student dashboard on the NIOS Student Portal.
For students under the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), the last date to submit Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs) for the October/November 2026 examination session is July 31, 2026 (without late fees).अक्टूबर/नवंबर सत्र के लिए ट्यूटर द्वारा मूल्यांकित असाइनमेंट (टीएमए) जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि 31 जुलाई, 2026 है, बिना किसी विलंब शुल्क के। छात्र असाइनमेंट जमा करने के लिए प्रति विषय 1500 रुपये का विलंब शुल्क जमा कर सकते हैं। विषय शिक्षक 15 अगस्त, 2026 तक छात्रों को टीएमए पर प्रतिक्रिया देंगे।All Tutor Marked Assignments are now fully online and must be uploaded through the official student portal. Paper or hard copy submissions are no longer accepted. 
How to submit NIOS assignment?
To submit your NIOS Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) online, log into the NIOS Student Portal with your enrollment number, go to the “Download/Upload TMA” section on your dashboard, convert your handwritten assignments into individual PDF files for each subject, select the corresponding subject, and click submit.
Is NIOS TMA compulsory?
TMA (Tutor Marked Assignment) in NIOS is highly recommended but its compulsory nature depends on your admission stream.

• Stream-1 Students: TMAs are effectively mandatory. They carry a 20% weightage in your final theory marks. If you do not submit them, you lose these easy marks, which can severely impact your percentage or lead to an “absent” remark in the TMA column.
• Stream-2, 3 & 4 Students: TMAs are generally not required and you are exempt from this evaluation.

Who checks TMA in NIOS?
Your Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) in NIOS is evaluated by your subject teacher at your allotted Study Centre (AI – Accredited Institution).
